How to Take Back Your Time Without Striving or Guilt

tickling clocking showing 10 past 2

Honestly I used to believe that if I could just find the right planner, wake up early enough, use every minute of my day productivelyI’d finally feel in control of my time.

Instead, all I ended up with was colour-coded schedules, a to-do list longer than my arm, and a lingering sense of failure by midweek.

Can you relate?

-Maybe your calendar is full—but your soul is still exhausted.

-Maybe you’re running through your days trying to keep up—but never actually feel present.

-Maybe you’re stuck in a cycle of surviving instead of living—and you can’t figure out why the planning advice that works for everyone else… just doesn’t work for you.

-Maybe if another person tells you to do your workout, quiet time, a load of laundry, shower AND make breakfast before your kids wake up, you might find yourself in some hot water.

If that’s you, you’re not broken.
And you’re not behind.
What you are doing just isnt working for YOU.

🚩 Why traditional productivity doesn’t work for women like us

Let’s be real: most productivity hacks were built around male, corporate, individualistic lifestyles.
They don’t account for the invisible load of motherhood.
They don’t leave room for interruptions or emotions or flexibility.
They definitely don’t start with surrender, presence, or prayer.

As Christian women, we’re not called to just do more things faster—we’re called to steward our time in alignment with what God is actually asking of us.

So what does that look like?

Well... it can look like a lot of different things for each of us but first and foremost it means SURRENDER.

Taking back your time doesn’t mean scheduling every moment.
It means taking ownership of your rhythms.
It means starting your week with God instead of reacting to the chaos.
It means building margin and breathing room so your calendar reflects your calling, not just your commitments.

It's about letting Him lead and guide us on a daily basis.

One thing that has really helped me is taking time every Sunday and working through my short checklist to set me up for the week and its something that has become a game changer over the years!

If you’re craving:

  • Clarity in your schedule

  • Space to breathe and reset
