Easy night time routine
You may have heard the saying “a good day begins the night before”
This year I am being really focusing on a good night time routine instead of crashing into bed and scrolling for an hour!
So heres what I’ve been doing and a few months in I am really noticing a difference.

1. Take time to journal and pray.
I personally have found this helpful as it’s easier for me to connect with God in the evenings. I like to process the day, think though what I’m thankful for and leave things with Him before I go to bed.
Not your thing, even journaling briefly about your day can help.
2. Skincare routine

I have never been great at this, but I'm at the age where it matters!
I keep it simple with cleanse, some bakuchiol serum and an overnight cream. (My favourites are linked below.)
For me its become part of the wind down process reminding my brain and body that sleep is not to far aways. it takes less than 10 mins most nights but i wake up feeling more refreshed and it actually feels nice to take care of myself in this way.

3. My top 3 for the next day
I found it helps so much to have 3 tasks that I know I want to get done the next day.
These don’t have to be work tasks but i always keep them manageable.
So for example todays list was to write a blog post, do my workout, clean the bathroom.
That way if i know I am at least getting those 3 things done its all good.
On days when I have a big admin workload i also braindump all the little tasks the night before, that way when I sit down at my desk I already know what Im going to spend the next hour or 2 working on.
4. No screens after 9
This is HARD! You don’t realise the habits you have until you try to change them. Now I am ok with the odd movie night etc but what I was noticing was how much I scrolled in bed and the time just disappears.!
I haven't quite got to the point of charging my phone outside my room, but bAby steps right??
Instead I am reading before I fall sleep, or journaling if I haven't already done it.
Technology is great but we all have WAY too much of it in our lives!

5. Make sure I have my water.
I like to drink water first thing in the morning, so I always have my glass by my bed so thats the first thing I do!
Simples!
if you don't currently do any of these (which is totally normally) Try to start with just ONE, get into the habit of consistently doing it well and then add another.
If you have habits that are currently working and serving you stick with it! These are just some ideas of things you can try.
